Simple Classic Tiramisu Recipe at Home | Italian Dessert | All Food

Tiramisu is a classical Italian no bake cake. It is a frozen dessert which is made up of mascarpone cream and ladyfingers dipped in coffee. This cake is much simpler than bread cakes and very delectable.

This frozen dessert is a wise choice during summer. In last post I have included introduction about tiramisu along with some other best Italian dishes and desserts. If you are interested to know about them, you should once go through the post.

In this post, I will tell you about how to make tiramisu in very simplified manner. Though this recipe looks very difficult to make at home, it's really not. Anyone with required ingredients and small knowledge about this can easily make this with delicious taste.

What Will You Need for This ?
I mentioned ingredients in the recipe below, but to give you a little idea, I will tell you what items you will need for this. We will need eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, mascarpone cheese, salt for making mascorpone cream. In order to make drippings of ladyfingers, you will need espresso coffee, amaretto liquor, cocoa powder and ladyfingers.

What are the ladyfingers ?

This might be new ingredient for you. Of course, this one is not our kitchen ladyfingers vegetable. Ladyfingers are the finger shaped biscuits or cookies which are usually added in many desserts recipes like cakes or many others. You can buy them from online stores as they are surely available there or you can also buy them from local shops near you if available.

Recipe

Ingredients
For Mascarpone Cream:
• 3 – 4 Eggs
• 5 Tablespoon Sugar
• 250 g Mascarpone Cheese
• 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
• Pinch of Salt

For Dipping of Ladyfingers
• 20 – 25 Ladyfingers
• 1 Cup Espresso Coffee
• 1 Tablespoon Amaretto Liquor
• Cocoa Powder
• Strawberries or Cherries for Decoration (Optional)

How To Make Tiramisu ?
1. Take all the eggs and separate egg yolk and egg white and keep them both in different bowls. Now mix egg yolk with 3 tablespoons of sugar.
2. Then keep this bowl over the pot containing simmering water until the mixture in bowl gets thicker, creamy and pale yellow in colour.
3. Check using thermometer, when temperature of mixture becomes 70 °C, add vanilla extract to it.
4. Transfer the mixture to another bowl and add mascarpone cheese to it and then beat it.
5. Add 2 tablespoon of sugar and some salt to separated egg white and mix well until it becomes foamy and gently add them to the mascarpone mixture to make mascarpone mixture.
6. Now, make the mixture of espresso coffee and liquor, then dip ladyfingers in it and keep them aside on a plate. Don't soak them too much in coffee mixture. Just dip them once or twice and take out.
7. Take rectangular pan and make a layer of soaked ladyfinger on it. Then apply layer of mascarpone cream over it. Again add a layer of soaked ladyfinger over it and add mascarpone cream layer on top.
8. Now keep this pan in a rectangular for 6 hours.
9. After 6 hours, sprinkle cocoa powder over the cake. Cut the slices of tiramisu and then serve.

Tip
You can also decorate them with strawberries or cherries.
