Easy Recipe of Samosa with Coriander Chutney | All Food


Samosa is one of the most eaten snacks in India. Though it is very old snack, it is very popular among the folks. Samosa was basically originated in Persia, but it came to India became popular among the people. 

During monsoon season, if you're looking for some fried snack, SAMOSA is the best option. Crispy samosas, filled with potato stuffing are unbeatable combination during monsoon. In this post, I will tell you that how you can make crispy and tasty samosa.

How To Make Crispy Covering Of Samosa ?
If you might have tried samosa by yourself then you might have observed that the outer covering is not crispy. To obtain the crispy covering you have to add heated oil in the maida (all-purpose flour) while making dough. In the recipe, I have shared that how you can make crispy samosa. Go through the full recipe.

Let's move ahead to the recipe.

Recipe

Ingredients For Making Samosa:
For Samosa Covering:
1. 2 cup maida
2. 1/4 cup oil 
3. 1/2 tbsp salt (or as per requirement)
4.  1/4 cup water
5. Cummins or jeera (1/2 tbsp)
6. Ajwaine (for sprinkling)

For Potato Stuffings:
1. 4-5 boiled potato
2. 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
3. 1/4 cup green peas
4. 2-3 green chillies
5. 4-5 garlic petals
6. 1finely chopped onion
7. 2 tbsp oil
8. 1/4 tbsp Mustard seeds 
9. 1/4 tbsp Cummins seeds

For Making Coriander Chutney:
1. 1/2 cup curd
2. 1/4 cup water
3. Coriander leaves(As per requirement)
4. 1/2 tbsp Salt
5. 1/2 tbsp Cummins powder

Procedure For Making Samosa:
For Potato Stuffings:
1. Crush 3-4 boiled potatoes in a pot.
2. Make paste of 2-3 green chillies and small garlic petals.
3. Put 2 tbsp oil in a pot and heat it. Add 1/4 tbsp mustard seeds and Cummins seed each in it and let them crackle.
4. Now, add paste of green chilli and ginger in a pot. Also add some turmeric powder in it. 
5. Add the crushed potatoes to a pot. Mix them well with the other spices. Let potato stuffing cook for 5 minutes.

For Samosa Covering:
1. Take 2 cup maida (all-purpose flour) in a dish. Add 1/2 tbsp salt in it. Mix it well.
2. Heat 1/4 cup oil in a small pot, add 1/4 tbsp Cummins seeds and 1/4 tbsp ajwaine seeds in pot and let them crackle.
3. Pour this mixture in all-purpose flour and mix thoroughly. This step is responsible for making crispy samosa. Make a dough from it.
4. Make balls from the dough and flatten them. Make cones from these flatten balls. Fill them with potato stuffing. Now cover the bottom of cones.
5. Fry these samosas in a frying pan until they turn their colour to brownish and get crispy. Keep them in plate.

For making chutney:
1. Pour 1/2 cup of curd, 1/4 cup of water in a small pot. You can alter the amount of water to change thickness of chutney.
2. Make paste of coriander leaves in mixer. Add the paste to pot and mix completely.
3. Add 1/2 tbsp salt, 1/2 tbsp Cummins powder in the mixture.
4. Now serve the samosas with chutney.
